Emily Reber Porter & Josh Stinston Join TMG's Leadership Team

The MacNaughton Group announced today that Emily Reber Porter and Josh Stinson have joined its leadership team to support its successful development projects and continued growth.

Emily Reber Porter joins as Executive Vice President, Operations and Strategy where she will work across the organization on operational and strategic initiatives, as well as oversee the organizational development of the company. Porter brings 16 years of experience as an attorney, general counsel and technology company executive in Honolulu, Washington D.C. and San Francisco.

Josh Stinson is Vice President, Development and Construction for The MacNaughton Group. Stinson is a seasoned development and construction industry expert with 19 years of experience on the Mainland and in Hawaii. He will execute the company’s development projects from early conceptual design and entitlement processing through budgeting and management of active building sites.

The first senior leadership additions to The MacNaughton Group in a decade, Porter and Stinson will work to fulfill The MacNaughton Group’s mission to develop innovative places and experiences that enhance the quality of life, work and play in Hawai`i while celebrating the islands’ rich culture and scenic beauty.

Earlier this year, The MacNaughton Group unveiled a slate of new offerings at West Oahu’s popular, open-air gathering place Kapolei Commons, including Regal Kapolei Commons 12, Hawaii’s first luxury movie theater. In addition, Park Lane – a collection of 215 elegant, iconic estate residences in the heart of Honolulu adjacent to Ala Moana Center with views toward Ala Moana Beach, currently under construction – is over 80 percent sold.

Porter was raised in Hawai’i and graduated from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. She lived in Japan as a Fulbright Scholar. Most recently, Porter served as General Counsel, Chief Administrative Officer and Vice President of Customer and Professional Operations at JustAnswer LLC, an innovative, high-growth internet company that aims to democratize access to professional services. In 2014, she received the San Francisco Business Times / Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Corporate Counsel Rising Star Award. She has served as a guest lecturer, panelist, and presenter at various conferences and at Harvard Law School. Porter began her career as an attorney at Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel in Hawai`i and then at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C.

Stinson has 19 years of experience working in a broad spectrum of commercial construction, including retail, hospitality and resort, and office buildings. He spent 10 years with Nordic PCL Construction, first as the special projects division manager and then as the operations manager. Before joining Nordic PCL, he spent nine years with Kiewit Construction in Hawai`i and in Denver, Seattle, and Portland building markets. In 2013, he was named to Engineering News Record’s 20 Under 40 List. A native of Oregon, Josh received his Bachelor of Science degree at Oregon State University in Corvallis.
