This large scale open air center in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii Island represents the first phase and centerpiece of a mixed-use community planned by the Queen Liliuokulani Trust, which includes new and improved roadways, parks, offices, residential neighborhood and more.
Kona Commons, completed in 2008 and anchored by the Big Island’s first Target store, provides a gathering place with an assortment of options ranging from large mainland brands and local operators.
SCOPE & SCALE
Developed in partnership with Kobayashi Group, the $60 million, 290,000 square foot retail center on a 10-acre parcel introduced Petco, Vitamin Shoppe, Ross Dress for Less, and Target to Big Island residents. Phase I opened in 2008, followed by Phase II a year later.
