Duff Janus Joins MacNaughton Team

MacNaughton welcomes Duff Janus as its Vice President of Acquisitions + Development

Duff executes the company’s acquisition underwriting efforts and supports our development projects across all market sectors.


Duff joined MacNaughton in the fall of 2022 after 20 years of commercial real estate development and acquisitions in Hawaii and Arizona. Duff leads the company’s acquisition underwriting and collaborates on development projects across all market sectors.

 
Previously, Duff has served as the Senior Director of Development and a Director of Investments at Alexander & Baldwin (ALEX), a Director of Planning & Development at Kamehameha Schools, and was a founder of Form Partners LLC.


Duff is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) where he is the District Chair of the Hawaii District Council (2021-2023) and a member of the national Small-Scale Development Council (Black flight). Duff earned his CCIM Designation in 2011 and serves as a Trustee for Le Jardin Academy in Kailua, Hawai`i.


Raised in Honolulu, Duff is a graduate of Punahou School. He received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Boston College with a degree in Finance, was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, and attended the London School of Economics for his junior year. Duff received his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management where he was awarded its two highest awards, the Barton Kyle Yount Award and the Alfred K. Knight Award and was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma.
