Kapolei Commons in West Oahu will get a new 12-screen, 52,000-square-foot, luxury theater complex in 2015.

The developers of the Target-anchored Kapolei Commons retail complex in West Oahu said Thursday that Regal Entertainment Group will open its 10th movie theater in Hawaii next year, a 12-screen movie theatre complex that will feature all-new electric recliner seats.

The 52,000-square-foot Regal Cinemas Kapolei Commons Stadium 12, slated for a fall 2015 opening, will join anchors Target (NYSE: TGT), Sports Authority, Office Max and Petco at the retail center, which first opened in 2009.

Pier 1 Imports (NYSE: PIR) has also opened a store there, and TJ Maxx (NYSE: TJX) plans to open a store there in 2015, according to developers MK Kapolei Commons LLC, a joint development by the The MacNaughton Group, Kobayashi Group and Craig Realty Group.

"Regal Kapolei Stadium 12 will feature a new level of amenities for moviegoing, where every seat will be a luxury electric recliner," Jerry Grewe, vice president of real estate for Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), said in a statement.

"Regal Cinemas is eager for construction to begin so that we can premiere this new luxurious theatre."

Regal Entertainment Group has nine other movie complexes in Hawaii, including the Regal Dole Cannery in Honolulu, the Regal Cinemas 10 at Windward Mall in Kaneohe and the Regal Pearl Highlands Stadium 12 on Oahu; two theaters in Kailua-Kona and two theaters in Hilo on the Big island; and two theaters on Maui.
