Recently opened, Arden—meaning “forest”—is the signature restaurant of Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head Hotel, helmed by husband-and-wife Chefs Makoto Ono and Amanda Cheng. The restaurant is nestled at the foot of the majestic Diamond Head crater in Waikiki and on the second floor of Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head. It features a spacious, modern design with warm teak materials, offering an open and welcoming dining environment—including a bar, lounge, and dining room. Chef Makoto and Amanda’s menu explores Hawaii’s natural bounty of produce, meats and aquaculture with dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared with masterful French and Japanese technique that result in modern, ever-joyful interpretations of Contemporary Hawaii Cuisine. Signature dishes include Hamachi with lilikoi ponzu and jalapeño salsa, Foie Gras Terrine with onion jam, plum wine jelly on pillow toast, and Cut Fries with smoked mentaiko dip.
