Reflecting on a Year of Vibrant Events at Kapolei Commons and Kona Commons

As the sun sets on another year, we take a moment to reflect on the vibrant array of events and activities that defined 2023 at two of our shopping centers, Kapolei Commons and Kona Commons. From community gatherings to cultural celebrations and everything in between, 2023 was a year filled with memorable moments for shoppers and visitors at these bustling retail destinations.

At Kapolei Commons, the year kicked off with a bang as families gathered for the property’s 8th Annual Touch a Truck event which welcomed thousands of families and showcased over 30 large trucks. A playful take on the traditional Easter egg hunt followed, along with photo opportunities throughout the spring and summer with the beloved photo bus. The community came together again for the Family Dance Party which was held and themed around Halloween. As the holiday season approached, Kapolei Commons transformed into a winter wonderland, with festive decorations, holiday happenings, and visits from Santa Claus spreading cheer to all who visited.

Meanwhile, over at Kona Commons, shoppers were treated to a diverse lineup of events designed to entertain and inspire. From artisan markets celebrating the rich heritage of Hawaii to keiki workshops promoting health and vitality, there was no shortage of activities to engage the senses and nourish the soul. Throughout the year, Kona Commons also partnered with local charities and organizations to give back to the community through fundraisers, food drives, and volunteer opportunities, embodying the spirit of aloha and compassion. The year rounded out with nightly snowfall on property for kids of all ages to play and enjoy holiday cheer!
